OVERVIEW

PJ Dick provided CM at Risk services with a GMP for the $1.9 million, 10,000‐SF renovation of the Basketball Suite in the University of Pittsburgh’s acclaimed Petersen Events Center. The project had an extremely tight schedule. Design started in January 2014 and ran through June. Integrated Project Delivery techniques and extensive collaboration were implemented to fast‐track the project, which allowed construction to begin on April 30, a full 2‐months before the 6‐month design effort was completed. Construction was completed in just four short months, and was turned‐over fully punchlisted, commissioned and ready for occupancy, on September 1st. Careful logistics planning and coordination was required to complete the project in the occupied and very active Petersen Events Center.
