OVERVIEW

Trumbull Corporation provided Design-Build Services to the Ohio Department of Transportation in the state’s Design-Build pilot program, which was conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of this delivery system. The project became known as the “Springfield-Urbana Project,” and helped build a new highway that stretches through agricultural land in Clark and Champaign Counties. The scope of work involved constructing a 1.2-mile long, four-lane, asphalt and concrete paved highway that connects new Route 68 with old Route 68. Included in the work was one million cubic yards of embankment, one MSE wall and three bridges.
