OVERVIEW

PJ Dick provided Construction Management Agency services to the University of Pittsburgh for an 80,000 sf addition to Salk Hall. The addition consists of a new, 4-story, 80,000 sf laboratory facility that provides additional space for the School of Pharmacy and the School of Dental Medicine. The project features a glass curtain wall facade facing the main campus.

Construction of spaces for mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment occurred at the basement and fifth floors. Incoming services, fire pump room, tele-data room, electric and switchgear were installed at the basement level. Air handlers, emergency generator and exhaust fans were located on the fifth floor.
