OVERVIEW
PJ Dick provided construction management services for the construction of this 191-unit apartment building that includes a surface garage, pool, and common areas for the public. The site is located adjacent to the Allegheny Valley Railroad line, which required planning of crane placement to avoid swings in its path.
The building was constructed using panelized wood framing with a metal exterior.
The common area, which connects the public to the river, features the frame of one of the previous building’s bays for aesthetic purposes. The new facility was constructed on an Act 2 site; demolition of an existing building was required as well as removal of obstructions in the foundations. PJ Dick self performed building concrete and panelized wood framing.
