OVERVIEW

PJ Dick was the construction manager for the design-build of a new 31,000 sf, two story, 128-cell housing unit. The project included the building enclosure, which consisted of masonry foundations, precast concrete modular cells, architectural precast, structural steel, masonry, and EPDM roofing. In addition to the building enclosure, PJ Dick was responsible for all detention equipment, security and non-security doors and hardware, as well as finishes. PJ Dick’s scope of work also included the electronic security systems for the building, which included integration with existing master facility security system. The most critical project component was the integration of building security. The building can be monitored and/or controlled remotely from the central command post. The project included entrance sidewalks, grading, and seeding. The facility is LEED certified.
