PJ Dick managed comprehensive renovations to 12 floors of the 25-story historic Oliver Building into an Embassy Suites Hotel. The hotel features a lobby, 230 rooms, a fitness center, office center, and office space. In addition, PJ Dick installed a pool on one of the upper floor. Because the project was partially funded with historic tax credit financing, it required preservation of existing historic construction throughout construction as well as new construction conformance with the historic review board’s recommendations. PJ Dick closely coordinated the demolition and new fit-out to adhere to all requirements of the commission and ensured the owner received full tax credit benefits. The historic features included historic elevator fronts and cabs, plaster moldings, marble, fixtures and other architectural features.
