OVERVIEW

Trumbull Corporation and National Engineering, in a joint venture, constructed the highest and largest bridges on the Ohio Turnpike. The two new bridges replaced the existing bridges which were built in 1954. The new bridges were constructed utilizing a post-tensioned, continuous girder method of construction, which has only been done twice previously in the United States.
