OVERVIEW
PJ Dick provided Construction Management at Risk services with a GMP for construction of a nine-story, 298,000 sf, post-tensioned, cast-in-place structure. The facility includes 133,000 sf high-technology office/ research space above a four-level, 225-car parking garage.
The building was constructed on an extremely tight inner city campus site adjacent to several adjoining buildings, parking lots, city streets, and an active rail line. It is also positioned on a steep hillside, which required the excavation of 60,000 cy of dirt, followed by the installation of a permanent earth retention system and substantial above and underground utility relocations.
