Ace Hotel

PJ Dick provided design-build construction for a 60,000 sf renovation of the 5-story, former YMCA building into the ACE hotel in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. The hotel features 63 guest rooms, a restaurant/cafe, ballroom, and gymnasium. The building was brought up to code but retained as much of the original details as possible. The original facade of the YMCA was preserved as well as the terrazzo floors and the lobby’s marble staircase. The ballroom features original ceiling light fixtures and 1920s architectural details.
