Extensive ornamental precast ornamental pieces
PJ Dick provided Construction Management at Risk services for a new 13,580 sf facility for the Pittsburgh Oratory's Gailliot Center for Newman Studies. The new facility includes a library, chapel and a four-apartment-style residences for traveling scholars. The masonry and precast plank structure features a clock tower, extensive precast ornamental pieces and millwork. PJ Dick self-performed demolition, excavation, concrete, installation of hardware, windows, and rough carpentry. The Gailliot Center for Newman Studies was awarded the 2007 Western Pennsylvania Golden Trowel Award for "Excellence in Masonry Design and Construction" for the collaboration in the creation of quality masonry products.
